Client’s Challenge: Our federal loan origination client had embarked on a technology modernization effort to enhance and accelerate its ability to meet citizen homeownership needs. They sought to mature their data and analytics ecosystem to better facilitate data driven decision and policy making, as well as to better understand the product’s performance in the secondary market. The client required support to provide and integrate several data sources into its data lake environment as well as the capability to analyze risk and conduct financial modeling. The client lacked detailed visibility into the performance and forecast of its nearly $1T guaranteed loan portfolio.

US Federal Civilian Loan Provider: Custom Credit Model Development

Client Challenge: Our federal client desired a dedicated partner in developing, maintaining, and utilizing credit models to perform subsidy rate formulation and re-estimates to report to the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) and Circular A-11. Specifically, they required Subject Matter Experts in modeling loan programs using complex econometric credit models that utilize historical loan data as well as macroeconomic conditions. These complex credit models are written in Excel Visual Basic and SAS.

Federal Civilian Grant Making Agency: Grant Strategy and Governance and Award Management Services

Client’s Problem: Our federal civilian client is one of the leading federal agencies to provide grant funding for research and development and education. It faced a backlog of Single Audit Act and OIG audits in need of resolution and faced staff limitations responsible for an annual budget of $10 billion. The organization required additional support to maintain compliance with laws and regulations and to maintain an unmodified financial statement audit opinion. The client had not been able to update its policies and procedures for audit follow-up in over a decade, and needed additional support conducting on-site monitoring of recipients to augment its limited staff.
